Our Voice’ is a team of people who have Down’s syndrome.
They work on projects and tell the DSA what they think about the work we do.
At the DSA we create an inclusive environment where everyone can participate and contribute towards our work.
People who have Down’s syndrome are experts by experience and they are the people who know what life is like for them. We listen to what they have to say and share their stories.
Our Voice supports the DSA with making new resources, quality checking our information and co-producing training. Group members work on self-advocacy activities and campaigns.
- Everyone should be included and able to participate in our work.
- People who have Down’s syndrome are experts by experience and should be involved in the decision-making of the organisation.
- We work together to think of new ideas and make resources that people want.
