Like in the years before AFRT organizes a WDSD-symposium. The association has been in contact with their members during the pandemic through a large survey. DS and Covid-19 will therefore also be an issue on the symposium.
Symposion in the occasion of the World Down Syndrome Day
AFRT, (Association Française pour la Recherche sur la Trisomie 21) initiated the World Down Syndrome Day in 2005, which is now widely recognized. As every year since 2005, AFRT is organizing a colloquium about Down Syndrome. This year, it will use video-conferencing. The language will be French, but questions in English will be accepted. The topics include: Access to care and medical monitoring, New tools to understand Down Syndrome, People with Down’s Sydrome and the COVID-19 pandemic
Colloque à l’occasion de la Journée Mondiale de la Trisomie 21
L’AFRT, Association Française pour la Recherche sur la Trisomie 21 a organisé un colloque à Paris le 21 mars 2005, et peu après proposé aux autres associations que le 21 mars devienne la Journée Mondiale de la Trisomie 21. Le 21 mars 2006, un autre colloque était organisé à Paris et un autre simultanément à Genève, ce qui marque le départ de cette manifestation internationale. Chaque année, l’AFRT organise un colloque en mars, à Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Angers, Versailles, Limoges, Grenoble ou Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, en collaboration avec d’autres associations.
En 2020, le colloque a été annulé à cause de la crise de la covid. Cette année, le colloque aura lieu par vidéo-conférence avec des thèmes liés à la santé et en particulier à la pandémie covid-19.
